Kellen Parrish has been the project officer for the Oregon Aquaculture Association since 2021, and has worked across agriculture, natural resources, and marine science for over a decade, with specific expertise in rural economic development and aquaculture. He holds a Master’s in International Agricultural Development from UC Davis where his research focused on waste stream recycling in recirculating aquaculture systems. He got his start as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala from 2014-2016 where he first began working with agriculture and food systems. He lives in Portland, Oregon and when he’s not working you can usually find him at the beach with his wife and daughter or spearfishing the Oregon Coast.
