Aaron Galloway is an Associate Professor at the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology (OIMB), the coastal marine lab of the University of Oregon. Dr. Galloway leads the Coastal Trophic Ecology Lab, which is generally focused on kelp forest ecology, trophic inferences in marine benthic food webs, and algae-invertebrate interactions. To do this work, the group uses fatty acids as trophic biomarkers, paired with underwater natural history, scuba diving, lab and field experimentation, and modeling. Dr. Galloway and his students have ongoing projects in Oregon, Alaska, British Columbia Canada, and Antarctica.
